This lightly spiced drink is packed with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, thanks to a dose of peppery turmeric, while the ginger and black pepper add a little heat.
1 cup hot coconut milk beverage or almond milk or 1/2 cup fat cream 33% +1/2 cup boiling water for keto-diet
1 cup boiling water
1/2 teaspoon curcuma powder
1/2 teaspoon ginger powder
1 tablespoon virgin coconut oil or grapeseed cold-pressed oil
a small pinch of black pepper powder or cayenne powder spice
PREPARATION (10 -15 min)
Whisk milk, turmeric, ginger, oil, pepper, and 1 cup boiling water in a small saucepan, pour into 2 cups.
It is a base Golden Milk Turmeric Tea. Change boiling water to hot green tea or hot coffee.
Add to taste 1 tablespoon honey and top with a dash of cinnamon powder or vanilla powder (for serving).
Keep in mind that curcuma powder and ginger powder will settle to the bottom of the mug, so stir well before drinking.
