Red Shiso Perilla Microgreen Seeds can be pre-soaked for 8 to 12 hours in cold water before sown. We recommend growing these seeds in soil but they can be grown hydroponically as well.
You will need at least 5 cm (2 inches) of soil depth to grow these microgreens in and about 4-5 hours of sunlight per day would be ideal. You can use seedling soil, potting soil, or a mixture thereof.
Sprinkle the seedlings evenly over the soil, use some water if you have not pre-soaked them, then keep them in the dark, only exposing them to sunlight when you can see that they have started to germinate. Make sure that the soil is always moist, not dry, and not soaked.
These microgreens should be ready for harvest within about 10 days from the date of germination.
