Nørdic Wheel yarn made from untreated wool is simply exceptional. The fleece is shorn from content mountain sheep and left unwashed, uncombed, hand-dyed, and spun in a traditional mill. The result is a yarn full of character and natural texture.

Great for cozy pullovers, warm cardigans, soft cowls, winter hats, scarves, mitts, blankets, and rustic or folk-style designs, as well as felting. Each skein is truly one of a kind, capturing not only the character of the sheep’s breed, but also their natural diet, the surrounding climate, and the enduring traditions of mountain husbandry.

Offered in a spectrum of natural and hand-dyed colors. Our warm cream shade often serves as the canvas for hand-dyed variations. Because we keep the wool free from aggressive processing, you may find delicate fragments of mountain vegetation—subtle reminders of the sheep’s natural habitat. They fade away with the first wash.
